Issue Description

DJI RC-N1/DJI RC-N2 cannot be linked with a different drone.

Cause of Issue

1. The firmware of DJI RC-N1/DJI RC-N2 is inconsistent with that of the drone.

2. DJI RC-N1/DJI RC-N2 is far away from the drone during the linking process.

Solution

DJI RC-N1 supports: Mavic Air 2, DJI Mini 2, DJI Mini 2 SE, DJI Air 2S, DJI Mavic 3 series, DJI Mini 3 Pro, DJI Mini 4K;

DJI RC-N2 supports: DJI Mini 4 Pro, DJI Air 3

Go through the steps below to switch the remote controller firmware.

1. Download and install the most-updated DJI Fly App.

2. Properly clamp the mobile device on DJI RC-N1/DJI RC-N2, power on the remote controller, and tap "Connection Guide" on the app home page.

3. Select the target model, and the app will prompt you to update to the related firmware. Wait until the firmware update completes.

4. Press and hold the Fn Button, Photo/Video Toggle, and Shutter/Record Button simultaneously for about 2 seconds, until the remote controller beeps and the battery level LEDs are rolling.

5. Press and hold the power button of the aircraft for about 4 seconds, and release it when the aircraft beeps and the battery level indicators are rolling, which indicate that the aircraft is in the linking state.

6. Wait until DJI RC-N1/DJI RC-N2 and the aircraft stops beeping, and the linking is successful.

In case of a linking failure, please restart the device and try again. If the linking still fails, go through the steps below to troubleshoot.

1. Make sure that DJI RC-N1/DJI RC-N2 is not far away from the drone during the linking process. It is recommended to keep the remote controller up to 50 cm away from the drone.

2. Link the RC-N1/RC-N2 to the aircraft in another way. The mentioned aircraft can be linked to RC-N1/RC-N2 in two ways, as in, linking via DJI Fly and combination buttons. In case of multiple linking failures, use a different method and try again.

3. Make sure that the remote controller and the aircraft can enter the linking state. When in the linking state, the aircraft status LEDs blink, and the remote controller beeps.

   · If the aircraft and remote controller cannot enter the linking state, re-flash the firmware to try again. If the problem persists, send it back to DJI for testing.

   · If the aircraft and remote controller can enter the linking state, but still cannot be successfully linked, go through the steps below for troubleshooting.

4. Make sure that the firmware of the aircraft and remote controller is consistent. For the latest firmware version of an aircraft, go to the product page on DJI's official website, click "Downloads" > "Manuals", and find the latest release notes. In case that the firmware of your aircraft is inconsistent with that of the remote controller, it is recommended to update the firmware to the same version.
