Scenario 1: The DJI Mic 2 receiver is connected to a mobile device but is not detected, not working, or not recording audio.

Solution

1. Please refer to DJI Mic Series Mobile Phone Compatibility List to make sure your mobile device is supported.

2. Ensure the mobile phone adapter is securely mounted.

4. Test if the audio signal transmission is functioning properly.

① Open the system recording app on the mobile device and start recording.

② Blow or tap on the transmitter’s microphone and watch the audio waveform. Then mute the transmitter to see if the waveform changes. This helps verify the audio is coming from the transmitter, not the phone’s built-in mic.

③ As shown in the image, the displayed audio waveform indicates a change, demonstrating that the signal transmission of DJI Mic 2 is normal.

④ As shown in the image, if the audio waveform shows no change, there may be a compatibility issue. Please check if the problem only occurs after some use, and whether the receiver and adapter work properly with other mobile devices.

Please also check if you experience any of the following when using DJI Mic 2:

• The receiver does not display a connected icon when it is connected to the mobile device.

• When a Type-C headphone is connected to the mobile device, the headphone’s volume buttons may not adjust its volume or control the camera recording.

• When connecting the transmitter to the mobile device via dual Type-C cable, the mobile device does not detect a USB drive.

Please contact DJI Support for assistance with the following information: DJI Mic 2 serial number (SN), firmware version, screenshots of the phone model and system version, and a video displaying the connection issue.

5. If the detection, connection, or the recording issue still exists after going through the above steps, you can try connecting the receiver to a computer to check if it can be identified. If it can be identified normally when connected to a computer, this issue may be due to phone incompatibility. It is recommended to try again with a device in the compatibility list.

Note: When the receiver is off and connected to a computer, it will function as a USB drive. When the receiver is on and connected, it will function as an audio device.

Scenario 2: Connect DJI Mic 2 Transmitter (TX) to a mobile device via Bluetooth.

Issue Descriptions

When the transmitter is connected to the mobile device via Bluetooth, the phone’s system camera and voice recorder cannot capture audio.

Possible Cause of Issue:

The mobile device does not support this feature.

Solution

Currently, only the following phone models support this feature:

Mate 50 Pro, Mate 50, P60 Pro, P60, P50 Pro, P50, Nova 9.

Scenario 3: DJI Mic 2 is connected to a camera.

Issue Descriptions

When DJI Mic 2 is connected to a camera, it is unable to capture audio.

Solution

1. Ensure that one end of the camera connection cable (3.5mm TRS) is inserted into the output port of the DJI Mic 2 receiver, and the receiver screen displays a connected icon.

2. Ensure that the other end of the camera connection cable (3.5mm TRS) is properly connected to the microphone jack on the camera, and check if the camera screen indicates that a microphone is connected.

3. Check if the DJI Mic 2 receiver (RX) is connected to any adapters, hot shoe mounts, or if it is connected to a computer via Type-C port.

Note: When the receiver (RX) is connected to a device through the pin port or the Type-C port, it cannot be used as an audio input device.

4. After going through the above steps, if the camera can detect the receiver but there is no sound in the video, please check the gain settings of both the transmitter and receiver of the DJI Mic 2, and ensure that the camera’s recording level settings are not set too low.
